ABOUT Max Ray II

Max Ray II, licensed professional counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III, Social Worker Assistant provides many forms of behavioral health treatment to assist in your healing and improve your mental health. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Ohio University. Max has nearly 10 years of relevant experience in various settings including youth corrections, outpatient and inpatient substance abuse treatment programs, and crisis intervention services in a hospital setting. He is eager to work with adults, adolescents, and children to address a range of concerns including phase of life issues, depression, anxiety, and co-occurring disorders. Max uses careful listening skills in an effort to understand and meet people where they are when they enter counseling. His chief aims in counseling are to ensure that people feel heard, understood and valued, to help generate strategies and elicit possible solutions to the problems they are experiencing, and to instill hope that life can improve even with small and subtle changes.  He welcomes the opportunity to hear your story and support you in your process.
