ABOUT Mia Ferrell, LPCC


Mia is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio.  She graduated from Stephens College with a Masters in Education Counseling.  She has over nine years of education, training and experience in the behavioral health field. She opened her own private practice, True Light Counseling, prior to relocating from Missouri to Ohio.  Mia’s primary therapeutic technique is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in her practice.  CBT involves interventions that help with changing the thought process which in turn helps to change behavior.  She has a straightforward non-judgmental therapeutic style and has always had a strong desire to help others.  She specializes in the following: building self-esteem, depression, anxiety, bipolar, domestic abuse, sexual assault, family conflict, suicidal ideation, women’s issues, and grief resolution. It is her life mission to leave this world a better place by helping others overcome obstacles and continue their life journey in the True Light.
