In addition, Emanuel has seven years of experience as a Jesuit which has taught him the power of silence and contemplation, and how much we can learn about ourselves if we allow ourselves to simply be as we are – made in the image and likeness of God. His educational and formative background has helped him to develop a unique skill set as a therapist who excels in the art of discernment. He is well versed in the spiritual states of consolation and desolation and what mental attitudes accompany them. He finds the instillation of faith, hope, and love to be the key to recovery and the best predictor of positive treatment outcomes. As a result, Emanuel believes in a strength-based, person-centered approach to therapy where every client deserves to be treated with an attitude of unconditional positive regard. He considers a strong dose of empathy, compassion, and an attentive ear to be fundamental to the therapeutic relationship. He would be honored to accompany you at this time in your life.
